These Terms of Use govern your use of interstockusa.com and your participation in programs offered by InterStock LLC (“InterStock,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Florida limited liability company based in Miami. By using this website or enrolling in a program, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
This website and our programs are intended for people aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read these terms, agree to them, and enroll you. That parent or guardian is responsible for the account and for the fees.
InterStock is an educational company. We teach people how markets and personal finance work. That is the whole of what we do, and the following limits are not fine print — they are the substance of the arrangement:
Decisions about real money are yours alone, and we encourage you to consult a licensed professional before making them.
Program fees, dates, meeting times, and capacity are listed at enrollment. Some partner schools collect payment through their own registration systems rather than ours; where that is the case, the school’s payment terms also apply. Enrollment is confirmed when payment is received and a place is available. Places are limited and are filled in the order they are confirmed.
We may need to reschedule a session because of weather, school closure, instructor illness, or facility availability. We will make up missed sessions where we reasonably can. If we cancel a program outright and cannot deliver it, we refund the unused portion.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Students are expected to attend, participate, treat instructors and classmates with respect, and follow the rules of the host school while on its campus. Our Child Safety and Conduct Policy sets out the standards that apply to students, instructors, and staff. We may remove a student from a program for conduct that endangers or seriously disrupts others; where we do, we will explain the decision to the parent and the school.
You agree not to scrape, copy, or systematically extract this website’s content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it; interfere with its operation; submit false information or impersonate anyone; or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Our curriculum, lesson materials, slide decks, worksheets, assessments, brand, and website content are owned by InterStock and protected by copyright and trademark law. Enrolled students and their families may use the materials for the student’s own learning. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, or use them to build or deliver a competing program without our written permission.
We photograph and record some sessions and events. We use a student’s image publicly only with written consent from a parent or guardian, and consent may be withdrawn at any time. See our Photo and Media Release.
Enrollment links may take you to a partner school’s registration platform or to a payment processor. We do not control those services and are not responsible for them. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them.
Except where these terms say otherwise, this website and our educational materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that our materials are complete or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, InterStock and its members, employees, and instructors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or trading or investment losses, arising out of your use of this website or participation in a program. Our total liability for any claim relating to a program is limited to the amount you paid us for that program.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Florida law, including liability for our own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, or any claim that Florida law does not permit a parent or guardian to release on a minor’s behalf.
You agree to indemnify InterStock against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of this website. This does not apply to claims arising from our own conduct.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not arbitrated will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before starting any formal proceeding, please email info@interstockusa.com describing the problem and what you would like us to do. Most disputes are resolved this way, and we would rather resolve yours that way too. If we have not resolved it within 30 days, either of us may proceed.
Except for the carve-outs below, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis in Miami-Dade County, Florida, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and you and InterStock each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
These carve-outs apply, and are not waived:
You may opt out of arbitration by emailing info@interstockusa.com with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms. Opting out costs nothing and changes nothing else about your enrollment.
We may suspend or end access to this website, or remove a participant from a program, for a material breach of these terms. Where we remove a paying participant for reasons other than serious misconduct, the Refund Policy governs what is returned.
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be emailed to enrolled families before they take effect. Continuing to use the website or a program after that means you accept the revised terms.
