New: The InterStock learning app is launching soon - join the early-access list -
Effective date: September 1, 2026
This is the agreement between InterStock LLC and the parent or legal guardian of each enrolled student. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, email us before you enroll and we will explain it.
By enrolling a student, the parent or guardian agrees to the following on their own behalf and on behalf of the student.
InterStock delivers a semester-long financial education program for high school students, taught in person by instructors who work in finance. Students learn how money, markets, and investment instruments work, and apply what they learn in a market simulation. Program dates, meeting times, session count, and capacity for each school are published on that school’s program page.
This is the most important section in this agreement.
The program fee is stated at enrollment. Some partner schools collect payment through their own registration systems; where they do, the school’s payment terms apply alongside this agreement. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy.
If we cancel a program and cannot deliver it, we refund the unused portion. If a session is missed because of weather, school closure, or instructor absence, we make it up where we reasonably can.
Sessions build on each other and places are limited, so attendance matters. A certificate of completion requires meeting the attendance and participation standard for the level. We notify parents of repeated absences.
Students follow our Child Safety and Conduct Policy and the rules of the host school while on its campus. A student may be removed from a program for conduct that endangers or seriously disrupts others. We will explain any such decision to the parent and the school.
Parents agree to be reachable during session times and to collect their student promptly at the end of a session.
Where a program runs at a partner school, the parent authorizes InterStock to share enrollment, attendance, and completion information with that school, and authorizes the school to share the enrollment information InterStock needs to run the program. All handling is governed by our Privacy Policy, including the student data commitments in it.
Media consent is requested separately at enrollment and is optional. Declining it does not affect participation in any way, and it can be withdrawn at any time. See the Photo and Media Release.
Sessions at partner schools take place on school property, and the school’s supervision, health, and emergency procedures govern while students are on campus. Parents should disclose at enrollment any medical condition, allergy, or accommodation InterStock needs to know about to teach the student safely and well.
In a medical emergency, InterStock staff will contact emergency services and school staff, and will make every reasonable effort to reach the parent immediately. Parents authorize InterStock to seek emergency medical care for the student if the parent cannot be reached in time.
InterStock is responsible for delivering the program competently and for the conduct of its staff.
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, InterStock’s total liability for any claim relating to a program is limited to the amount paid for that program, and InterStock is not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for investment or trading losses, whether incurred by a student, a parent, or anyone else, arising from decisions made after the program.
These limits do not apply to liability that Florida law does not permit us to limit, including our own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, or to any claim of personal injury to a student, or to any claim a parent or guardian is not permitted under Florida law to release on a minor’s behalf. We are not asking any family to sign away a child’s right to be safe, and we would not enforce such a term if it were written here.
This agreement is governed by Florida law. Venue for any dispute is Miami-Dade County, Florida. Our Terms of Use, including the dispute resolution section and its carve-outs, apply to this agreement.
By completing enrollment, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read and agree to this Participation Agreement, the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, the Child Safety and Conduct Policy, and the Refund Policy; that they have authority to enroll the student; and that the information given at enrollment is accurate.
