InterStock photographs and occasionally records classes, presentations, and graduation events. The images matter to us — they show families what a session actually looks like, and they show students their own work being taken seriously. But they are images of other people’s children, and that carries obligations we take seriously.

This page explains the rules we follow, the consent we ask for, and how any family can have an image taken down.

1. The legal basis

Section 540.08 of the Florida Statutes prohibits publishing a person’s name, photograph, or likeness for commercial or advertising purposes without express written consent. For a minor, that consent must come from a parent or the guardian of the child’s person. We ask for it in writing, and we do not use a student’s image publicly without it.

2. Consent is optional and it is reversible

Granting media consent is entirely voluntary. Declining it has no effect on enrollment, participation, instruction, grading, certificates, or a student’s standing in any program. No student is ever seated differently, excluded from an activity, or treated differently in any way because a parent said no.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time, for any reason or none, without explanation. See section 6.

3. What consent covers

If you grant consent, you permit InterStock to photograph and record your student during InterStock programs and events, and to use those images and recordings in:

• our website and program pages
• our social media accounts
• presentations and materials shown to prospective families and partner schools
• printed brochures and program summaries

Consent is granted without expectation of payment, and it does not transfer any ownership in the underlying work.

4. What we will not do

These are hard limits, and they apply even where a parent has signed a broad release:

• We do not publish a student’s full name alongside their image without separate, specific written permission. Where a caption is needed, we use a first name only, or no name at all.
• We never publish a student’s contact information, home address, class schedule, or anything that would let a stranger locate them.
• We do not sell, license, or transfer student images to stock libraries, advertisers, or any third party.
• We do not use student images to endorse a financial product, a security, a broker, or any third party’s service, and we do not use them in a way that implies a student achieved a financial result.
• We do not use images in political or issue advocacy of any kind.
• We do not alter images in a way that would misrepresent what happened, and we do not use generative tools to create or modify likenesses of students.
• We do not photograph in any setting where a student would reasonably expect privacy.

5. The release

The consent we ask a parent or guardian to give reads as follows:

I am the parent or legal guardian of the student named in this form. I grant InterStock LLC permission to photograph and record my child during InterStock programs and events, and to use those photographs and recordings in InterStock’s website, social media, printed materials, and presentations to prospective families and schools. I understand that no payment will be made to me or my child. I understand that my child’s full name will not be published with their image unless I give separate written permission. I understand this permission is voluntary, that declining it will not affect my child’s participation in any way, and that I may withdraw it at any time by writing to info@interstockusa.com.

We collect this consent in writing at enrollment. Where a program is administered through a partner school’s registration system, consent may be collected by the school on our behalf; if you are unsure what you signed, ask us and we will tell you exactly what we hold.

6. Withdrawing consent, and having an image removed

Email info@interstockusa.com with the student’s name and, if you have it, a link to or description of the image. You do not need to give a reason.

What happens then:

• We remove the image from our website and our own social media accounts within five business days.
• We stop using it in any new material immediately.
• We withdraw printed material still in our possession from circulation.
• We cannot retrieve copies that others have already downloaded or reshared, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we will tell you where the image ran so you know its reach.

This applies to any image currently on our website, including images published before this policy took effect. If your child appears in a photograph on this site and you would rather they did not, write to us and it comes down. No explanation required, and no hard feelings.

7. Photographs taken by schools and families

Partner schools sometimes photograph our sessions for their own communications under their own media policies, which we do not control. Families attending graduations and showcases may take their own photographs; we ask everyone to be considerate about posting images of other people’s children.
